I was born in Madrid to Spanish and Italian parents.
They worked in the United Nations World Food Programme, which gave me the unique opportunity to grow up in North Korea, Sudan, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Italy. That global perspective (and my parent's humanitarian work) fostered my drive to make an impact, fight climate change, and reduce inequalities. As an adult, I've continued the life of a globetrotter by moving to Spain, the United States, Lebanon, and Vietnam.
I've always had diverse interests. When looking for universities, I was undecided between studying aerospace engineer or theatre, and I ended up studying business at one of Europe's leading business schools.
In hindsight, it made sense. I started my first business at 11, selling candy at gas stations and hiring my younger sister and her friends as my first employees. Between then and today, I've had countless projects, side hustles, and failures.
I fell in love with startups and their ability to imagine a better future and shape the world around us. As Arthur C. Clarke put it "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic".
